People’s Tours 6 day family tour has been specially designed with the entire family in mind. It will give you an overall experience of the best that Sri Lanka has to offer, compressed into a 6 day tour, with activities and fun for the whole family.
Day 01 - Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo
- One of our representatives will personally meet you and welcome you at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Thereafter, you will be taken straight to your hotel to relax after a tiring day of travel.
- Check in to the hotel in Colombo.
- Dinner and retire for the night and enjoy your first night in the island paradise.
Day 02 - Hikkaduwa beach
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Travel the 2hour 15mins drive to Hikkaduwa beach, one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka.
- After enjoying the sun, sand and sea at Hikkaduwa beach, head to Citrus Hikkaduwa to rest and unwind.
- Dinner and time to call it a night.
Day 03 - Attractions in Galle, Boat safari on Madu River
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Travel to the historic seaside city of Galle.
- Arrival at Galle, where you will be taken straight to see the first attraction, the Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit to the Galle National Museum.
- Travel to Kosgoda and visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, which is one of the 18 turtle hatcheries along the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
- Time for an exciting boat safari on the Madu River.
- Return to Citrus Hikkaduwa to relax and unwind.
- Dinner and retire for the night.
Day 04 - Udawalawe National Park, Udawalawe
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Travel the 3hours 45mins drive to Udawalawe.
- Arrival at the safari camp and in the evening, get an opportunity to see elephants at the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home that rehabilitates orphaned elephant calves for release back into the wild.
- Return to the Grand Udawalawe Safari Camp for dinner.
- Dinner and retire for the night.
Day 05 - Udawalawe National Park safari
- Breakfast at the safari camp.
- Travel to the Udawalawe National Park for a full day safari.
- Return to the Safari Camp for dinner.
- Spend another night of camping, your last night in beautiful Sri Lanka.
Day 06 - Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo
- Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter, one of our representatives will assist you to check out of the hotel and take you to the airport to catch your return flight home.

- After the tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens, travel the 4hour 30min drive to Nilaveli.
- Arrival at Nilaveli and check in to the hotel to experience a touch of paradise at a unique and stylish beach resort.

Day 04 - Tour of Trincomalee city

- Tour of the port city of Trincomalee.

Day 05 - Pigeon Island, Anuradhapura
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Visit to the famous Pigeon Island which is one of the popular attractions in Trincomalee where you can go snorkeling or diving and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs found in the area.
- Return to hotel to relax and get refreshed.
- In the evening, check out and proceed to the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura.
- Arrival at Anuradhapura and check into hotel,dinner and enjoy a peaceful night’s rest.
Day 06 - Tour of Anuradhapura city

Day 08 - Whale watching at Kalpitiya beach, Colombo
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Travel to Kalpitiya beach to experience whale watching and watching spinner dolphins.
- In the evening, check out of the hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight home.

Day 03 - Mahiyangana, Mapakada Village, Dambana Veddha Village
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Travel the 2hours 15mins drive (approximately) to Mahiyangana.
- Arrival at Mahiyangana and check in to Mapakada Village where you can relax and get refreshed.
- In the evening, you will be taken to visit the next attraction, Dambana Veddha Village to meet the indigenous people of Sri Lanka or “Veddhas” which means “people of the forest”.
- Enjoy a delicious and mouthwatering dinner. Relax, unwind and spend the night.
Day 04 - Rathna Ella Falls, Mapakada Village, Weheragala Mountain hike
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Proceed to the Rathna Ella Falls, which is the 14th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, found in the village of Hasalaka.
- After a visit to the beautiful falls, you can enjoy a herbal tea together with a traditional Sri Lankan lunch served on a lotus leaf.
- Return to the hotel to relax and get refreshed.
- In the evening, commence an exciting and interesting hike to Weheragala Mountain.
- After the hike, return to the hotel.
- Dinner and retire for the night.
Day 05 - Ella via Dunhinda Falls, Nine Arches Bridge
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Proceed to the bio-diversity rich small town of Ella, popular for its trekking trails, waterfalls and spice gardens, whilst also being full of myths and legends.
- Check in to the hotel, located in the centre of Ella town to get refreshed and relax until evening.
- In the evening, proceed to visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge, also known as the “Bridge in the sky”, an ideal example of colonial era railway construction.
- Dinner. Relax and spend a cool night in Ella.
Day 06 - Attractions in Ella, Udawalawe National Park safari
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Visit attractions in Ella area including: Ravana’s Cave, Ravanas Cave temple and Ravana’s Falls.
- Proceed to Grand Udawalawe Safari Camp where you will spend the night.
- Dinner. Relax and unwind for the night.
Day 07 - Udawalawe National Park, Hikkaduwa, Hikkaduwa beach
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Proceed to Udawalawe National Park for a full day safari.
- Travel the 3hours 45mins drive to Hikkaduwa.
