Day 1

Arrival in Mandalay

Arrive at Mandalay International Airport, where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing and enjoying an overnight stay in Mandalay.
Start the day with a visit to the Mahagandayon Monastery, followed by a tour of traditional handicraft workshops, including marble carving and gold leaf beating. Explore Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the "world's largest book," and marvel at the exquisite wood carvings of the Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery.

Exploring Mandalay's Heritage

Journey to Inle Lake

After breakfast, transfer to Heho via flight, followed by a scenic drive through the serene Shan plateau. Enjoy a direct boat excursion on Inle Lake, visiting floating gardens, villages, and the revered Phaungdaw Pagoda, home to gilded Buddha images. Discover the unique Jumping Cats Monastery and explore a traditional Cheroot factory before checking in and overnighting at Inle.
Begin the day with breakfast and a flight to Bagan, followed by hotel check-in. Explore the iconic Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple (Bagan's masterpiece), and Manuha Temple featuring massive Buddha images. Visit the grand Dhammayangyi Temple, the largest in Bagan, and experience the uniqueness of the lacquerware workshops that define the region.

Yangon, Golden Rock

After breakfast, take a flight to Yangon and proceed to the breathtaking Golden Rock (Kyaiktiyo Pagoda), a sacred pagoda perched on the edge of a hill. The journey takes around 5-6 hours, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant. At the base camp, take a truck ride to the top for a closer view of this unique site. Explore the area before an overnight stay at the hotel nearby.
Begin the day with breakfast before descending to the base camp via special transportation. Continue to Bago and visit the iconic Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Myanmar's tallest stupa. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha, Kanbawzathadi Palace site, and Botataung Pagoda. Conclude the day in Yangon with dinner at a local restaurant, followed by check-in and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Airport Departure, Colombo
